FAMILIES BELONG TOGETHER  COMMUNITY LEADERS CALL TO ACTION

As a result of the June 30th rally where close to 5,000 people stood together at Washington Park in solidarity to urge this administration to reunite children with their parents, LULAC organized a Cincinnati Community Leaders Call to Action to continue the momentum and unity shared at the rally and to work together towards finding a solution to keep families together.

The Summit took place July 10 at the Westin Hotel where more than 12 Community Leaders attended representing most of the non-profit organizations in the city.   One of the big learnings from the meeting is how much information we have already and the amount of work each of them is providing to the community.  As a next step, we decided to organize the information into a document that we can share and keep updated on a server.  The community would benefit greatly if they could access the resources and answers they need under one roof.  We will keep you informed on how this work progresses.
